Autowatch Ghost-II Shadow CANbus Immobiliser

The Ghost-II Shadow CANbus immobiliser provides all the security of the Ghost-II device with additional Shadow features giving you complete peace of mind that your vehicle will not be taken. The device protects your car from theft like nothing else on the market today.

The Ghost protects your car from key-cloning, hacking, and even key theft. The Ghost has no key-fobs or LED indications to give away its location. The Ghost uses the buttons in your vehicle such as those on the steering wheel, door panels or centre console, to allow you to make a unique, changeable, disarm sequence (like a PIN code) that must first be entered before you can drive your car. Just like your credit card but you can make your car disarm sequence even safer by making it up to 20 presses long!

The Shadow provides additional security with added siren without giving away the location of the Ghost-II unit. The shadow is connected to the same CAN data network as the Ghost-II but is located away from the Ghost-II. The shadow will trigger the siren output under the following conditions:

• Two attempts to start the engine if the starter inhibit mode is selected
• 15 seconds of ignition switched on after the engine has been stalled or gearbox locked without entering the disarm sequence
• Wheel movement with entering the disarm sequence
• Attempted new key learning (Not all vehicles)
• Anti-hijack once the vehicle has come to a stop and no disarm sequence has been entered
• The ignition is switched on and the Ghost-II does not respond or has been removed

The Shadow also has a miniature internal relay that can be used as a backup immobilisation should the Ghost-II be found and removed. This gives an extra layer of protection against a thief who has time to rip apart a vehicle to look for the Ghost. This relay immobilisation can also be used to add engine stall features to vehicles where this cannot be done via the CAN date connection alone.

In order to make extreme security also be hassle free, Autowatch have created a smart-phone application that connects to your car and allows you to get in and drive without having to enter the disarm sequence. This Ghost-II allows 2 phones to be connected. All you have to do is pair your phone with your Ghost-II, leave the Autowatch Ghost-II application running in the background with Bluetooth enabled and you can drive conveniently and securely. However, remember that if you phone is in range (5m to 10m) and the application is running the Ghost-II will be disarmed.

Engine start blocking

The Ghost will prevent the starting of the engine unless the unique, user defined PIN code has been entered first.

No radio frequency signals

Thieves cannot use sophisticated RF scanning, code grabbing technology to detect what security device your vehicle has when it does not transmit any signals like conventional security systems.

Stops key cloning and ECU swapping

A thief cannot simply add a new key or replace an ECU to bypass the Ghost and start the vehicle. Only a correct PIN code will allow the engine to start.

Simple PIN code change process

At any time you can easily change the PIN code. Only you will know the unique PIN code for your vehicle.

Uses the vehicles original buttons to enter the PIN code

The buttons in modern vehicles send data all around the vehicle which allows us to detect many different keys being pressed without extra wiring.

Undetectable using diagnostics

A modern thief can use diagnostics to detect circuit cuts on modern vehicles. The Ghost has no circuit cuts so it cannot be found using these methods.

Silent operation

Because the unit communicates with the ECU on the data bus to immobilise the vehicle there is no way a thief could listen for the tell-tale clicking of a traditional immobiliser relay.

Tested for each vehicle

Due to the nature of the data bus communication the Ghost has been adapted and tested for every vehicle we list as compatible. If we list your vehicle you can be sure we have thoroughly tested its operation with the Ghost.

Service / Valet mode

Service mode allows your vehicle to temporarily start and drive without requiring the PIN code. The Ghost will exit service mode based on speed and time or by simply entering the PIN code.

Weatherproof tiny device

The Ghost is sealed and so small it can be installed and wrapped into the vehicle harness anywhere in the vehicle making it near impossible for a thief to find.

Mobile Application Available

To make security even easier Autowatch have created a special application for your iOS & Android telephone that allows you to just get in and drive. No need to use your button disarm sequence to disarm the Autowatch Ghost-II. Just enable this phone-tag and as soon as your iPhone is near your car you will be able to drive, even if your iPhone is in sleep mode in your pocket.
